In My Arms

Ok, so again, right now is a very emotional time for me.  John and I had to make a very difficult decision yesterday that will hopefully turn out to be the best thing for Cody...so why do I feel like it's his death sentence?  Trusting God to do HIS work here.

This is a song that I have sung to Chloe since it came out, but right now I feel it needs to be sung to Cody.  It's so hard to let go when I just want to wrap him up in my arms and keep him safe.

In My Arms, by Plumb

Your baby blues
So full of wonder
Your Curly Que’s
Your contagious smile
And as I watch
You start to grow up
All I can do is hold you tight
Knowing

Clouds will rage in
Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

Story books
Are full of fairy-tales
Of kings and queens
And the bluest skies
My heart is torn just in knowing
You’ll someday see
The truth for lies

Clouds will rage in
Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

Castles they might crumble
Dreams may not come true
Cause you are never all alone
Cause I will always
Always love you

Clouds will rage in
Storms will race in
But you will be safe in my arms
Rains will pour down
Waves will crash all around
But you will be safe in my arms

In my arms
In my arms

  2. To send Cody to a "SD" or "Social Development" class...starting Monday he will be going to a different school, in a class with 4 other 4th grade boys that need more social skills and need help getting their class work done...to me it MIGHT be what's best but it's also feeling like a step backward...he will not be in a full-included classroom like before....but the environment at the school he is leaving is not conducive to him learning; he's only getting further behind and is a social outcast...totally different from his school last year!!

  3. I don't think it will be a step back for him. I know it may seem that way now, but he needs to be around other kids that will make him feel normal. He's an amazing kid and being with a smaller group hopefully will help him adjust better to social situations. Give him a big hug from me!
